After Wisła Kraków's match against Śląsk Wrocław, Marcel Łubik gave an interview on CANAL+. In his conversation with journalist Aleksandra Klepaczka, the White Star goalkeeper spoke about another victory in front of their home crowd, the international break, and the upcoming challenges facing Wisła.

Wisła have now won in front of their home crowd for the fifth consecutive time. Łubik stressed that the match against Śląsk was very demanding for the team and that their patience until the final moments determined the eventual success.

“I’m very happy because it was a difficult match. Śląsk started wasting time from the very first minute. It was clear that they only wanted to fight for a point. But that’s football. They will have to approach matches against us that way, because it makes things more difficult for us, but I think that patience right to the end, until the very last second, makes a victory like this taste even better,” said Marcel Łubik.

There will now be a break in the league competition. The Wisła goalkeeper will once again represent Poland with the under-21 national team. In the interview, he admitted that given his current form, he would most like to continue competing, but he also pointed out that the team can use the coming period to continue working.

“I’m very happy that I can play for Poland’s under-21 team again. I think I’d really like to keep dominating and keep playing, but okay. There’s a break now. I think we need to prepare and discuss a few details, because there’s still room for improvement. After the break, we have a very important away match against Legia. We know how important this match is for the fans and for the city of Kraków, and we want to show that we can win away from home too,” he stressed.

The latter part of the interview also touched on the series of demanding matches awaiting the White Star after the break. Łubik stressed that the team is aware of the scale of the challenge, but its goal remains unchanged.

“That’s a very good question. We know it will be a very difficult match, but anything is possible in this league, and I’m convinced that we’ll go there wanting to win all three points,” Wisła Kraków’s goalkeeper concluded.
