Wisła Kraków commemorated Henryk Reyman. A commemorative plaque was unveiled at his birthplace.
On April 11, 2026, on the anniversary of Henryk Reyman's death, a ceremony was held to unveil a commemorative plaque dedicated to one of the most outstanding figures in the history of Wisła Kraków and Polish sports. The event was organized as part of the celebrations of the 120th anniversary of Wisła Kraków. The plaque was placed on the building at ul. gen. Władysława Sikorskiego 12 in Kraków, where Henryk Reyman was born and lived.
The plaque reads:
"HENRYK REYMAN WAS BORN AND LIVED IN THIS HOUSE. COLONEL OF THE POLISH ARMY, OLYMPIAN, OUTSTANDING FOOTBALL PLAYER FOR TS WISŁA AND THE POLISH NATIONAL TEAM."
The unveiling was performed by the Honorary President of TS Wisła, Ludwik Miętta-Mikołajewicz, and Henryk Reyman's nephew, Janusz Tomaszewski. The plaque was then blessed by Archpriest Bronisław Fidelus, chaplain of the White Star.
The ceremony gathered representatives of the Wisła Kraków community, honorary guests, and individuals and institutions involved in preserving the memory of the White Star's history. It was not only a way to pay tribute to Henryk Reyman but also an expression of concern for preserving the memory of a man who combined sporting greatness with service to his homeland. At the same time, it constituted an important element of the jubilee reminder of the figures who built the identity and greatness of Wisła Kraków throughout its 120 years of existence.
Henryk Reyman remains an exceptional figure in the history of Wisła Kraków. He was an outstanding football player, a Polish national team member, an Olympian, and at the same time an officer of the Polish Army. To this day, he is a symbol of strength of character, patriotism, honor, and loyalty to the values that co-create the identity of Wisła Kraków.
During the event, it was emphasized that commemorating Henryk Reyman at his birthplace has not only historical but also educational and symbolic significance. It is an important sign of remembrance for future generations of Wisła fans, residents of Krakow, and all those who care about the history of Polish sports.
