First trip without points
In the second round of the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, Wisła lost 3:4 away to Piast Gliwice. Marko Božić and Jordi Sánchez (twice) scored for Biała Gwiazda.
The beginning of the match was not the best for our team. Piast dominated and created dangerous opportunities. One of them was converted into a goal by Samuel Ntamack in the 17th minute. Fifteen minutes later, Hugo Vallejo scored to make it 2-0 for the hosts, taking advantage of Raoul Giger's injury. Jordi Sánchez gave the signal to come back in the 38th minute. In first-half stoppage time, Biała Gwiazda could have equalized, but Marko Božić missed a penalty kick. The Austrian redeemed himself after the break, scoring with a powerful shot from distance. Wisła dominated their opponent and created more chances, but another goal went to the Gliwice team – after a shot, the ball hit Maxence Maisonneuve's hand, and the referee awarded a penalty, which Jakub Łabojko converted into a goal. Just a few minutes later, Sánchez celebrated his second goal of the match and third of the season, assisted by Angel Rodado. Coach Mariusz Jop's players pushed for a win, but in the end, they were hit with a cold shower – Leandro Sanca precisely aimed from distance, and Piast secured all three points.
