Wisła Kraków claimed all three points in their match against Jagiellonia Białystok. After the final whistle, Marko Božić was one of the guests on CANAL+. Błażej Łukaszewski spoke with the Biała Gwiazda player.

The CANAL+ journalist began the conversation by congratulating him on the victory and pointing out that the margin of victory could have been even greater

– I think we played really well for the first 25 minutes. Later, Jagiellonia took the initiative, but they actually did not create any chances. I had the impression that they did not really know how to deal with our low and mid-block pressing – Marko Božić said on CANAL+.

Wisła went into halftime with a favorable scoreline, but as the player emphasized, after the break they did not intend to focus solely on defending it.

– At halftime, we told ourselves that we had to go for a second goal. And indeed, we could have scored considerably more. I think even four or five goals, if we had made better decisions in the final third. We had many chances. We are happy with the three points and must maintain this positive attitude – he added.

Błażej Łukaszewski also highlighted another important aspect of the match – keeping a clean sheet. Wisła had been regularly finding the net in recent games, but this time defensive effectiveness was equally important.

– It was very important for us not to concede a goal. We know that Jagiellonia are a really good team. They play in Europe and have managed to progress against very strong teams, so we knew perfectly well how much quality they have. However, our main goal was to win and keep a clean sheet – Božić concluded.
