Wisła Kraków Football Academy is placing greater emphasis on its activities outside Poland. We are pleased to announce that a certified White Star football academy has opened in the UK capital under the name Wisła Kraków London. Around 200 children are currently honing their football skills there. This is another step towards building the club’s brand abroad.
The decision to open a certified football academy abroad in London is a step forward in the internationalization of the Wisła Kraków brand and gives young local footballers access to professional training, benefiting their athletic and personal development.
Representatives of Wisła Kraków visited the academy in September last year, which later led to the decision to expand the scope of cooperation. The new partnership involves sharing experience, giving London’s coaches access to the knowledge offered by the Kraków Academy in both training and organizational matters. Players training in the UK capital will have the opportunity to wear the club’s technical sponsor’s kits, and plans are already underway to organize joint football camps this coming summer, both in Poland and in England.
The expanded partnership aims to make even more effective use of the academy’s training potential while creating a platform for synergy between Polish and British football. Through this cooperation, Wisła Kraków hopes to connect even more closely with children, young people and fans outside Poland, offering them the opportunity to take an active part in the life of the club.
Wisła Kraków’s London branch is run by Piotr Warszawa, who previously established a sports club called Pride Football Academy LTD. Young Wisła players currently train in six districts of the UK capital – Croydon, Mitcham, Sutton, Bromley, Catford and Streatham. The London Academy has around. 200 children, and its oldest team is the recently formed U-18 side, which competes in the Combined Counties Football League in London. The younger teams compete in the Surrey FA Tandridge Youth League.
“We are absolutely delighted that our academy in London has been officially certified after all these years, confirming our professionalism and commitment to developing young talent. This is a tremendous achievement, made possible by the dedication of many people – players, coaches and devoted fans alike. We focus on providing high-quality training, prioritizing the development of both technical skills and sporting values. Thanks to our coaches’ professionalism and our players’ dedication, we are delighted to announce our official partnership with Wisła Kraków, which confirms the high standards of our work. Many passionate people who have devoted themselves to youth training have made our academy truly special. Thanks to them, we can be sure that our talents are developing not only as players, but also as people. Our shared passion for football and desire to build a strong foundation for future stars are the cornerstones of our success. We are especially proud that our players, coaches and fans are now part of the huge Wisła Kraków family. We support one another not only on the pitch, but off it too, building a community united by a shared love of football and the club,” said Piotr Warszawa, president of the London academy.
