Wisła players successfully started the 2026/2027 PKO BP Ekstraklasa season. In the 1st round match played at Synerise Arena Kraków, Biała Gwiazda defeated GKS Katowice 2:1 (0:0).
The first goal after Wisła's return to the top league was scored in the 56th minute by Marko Božić, who converted a penalty kick and opened the scoring. Just 4 minutes later, Jordi Sánchez extended the lead. The visitors managed to respond with only one goal from Szymon Bartlewicz.
A full house at R22 created a unique atmosphere, and Wisła started the new season by securing three points.
