Summary of the autumn round of the U13 team
The U13 team players have had an intense autumn season.
The players from the U13 team have completed an intense autumn round.
"We began preparing for the autumn round in August.
I am coaching this team for the first time this season, so the key to its proper
the team’s functioning was to build a good atmosphere based on mutual
understanding and establishing the rules governing the team. Then we went
on a week-long camp in Zawoja, where we had plenty of time not only for development
football development, but also on integrating the entire U-13 team. During the
during the preparation period, we played a friendly match against, among others, the Wolbrom Football Academy
Młodzi Przebojem and Wisła Kraków’s U-16 team. We focused primarily
above all on individual and group actions, but we also focused
on key elements of the game, namely playing out from the back and finishing.
The start of the round was not favorable for us in terms of results.
Despite winning 6–1 in the first match,
we had to acknowledge the superiority of our opponents several times. In the end, we secured 4
wins and 1 draw, which placed us fifth in the league. The result
was not our priority, and I repeated this to the players from the very beginning.
The primary objective was to carry out the specific actions we had worked on
among other things, brave play and building confidence in 1v1 situations,
as well as basic individual and group actions (third-player combinations, overlaps,
playing one-twos, making runs into space, and patiently building play from the back,
the opponent’s pressure. I believe that, to a significant extent, we managed to improve
to achieve the stated objectives; nevertheless, there is still a great deal of work ahead of us when facing
the players are ready for this. They have enormous potential and character, which
they showed repeatedly in league matches as well as in friendly games
We played one tournament in Radziszów, where we finished 3rd
there is room for 8 teams, but we are not slowing down because we still have a tournament ahead of us
in Charsznica on November 16, as well as a two-day indoor tournament in Krzeszowice, where
there will be an opportunity to continue working on improving our team’s play.
