Dear Wisła Kraków Fans,

The 21st century has taught us at Wisła practically everything football can teach.

It taught us to win. It taught us to believe that a Polish club can step onto the pitch against Europe's biggest brands with courage and self-worth. It taught us to fill the stadium to capacity, to experience Polish championships, great matches, unforgettable goals, and evenings that remain a part of our collective memory to this day.

It also taught us to face loss.

Of position. Of stability. Of security. Sometimes, even of trust.

Wisła's history in the last quarter-century has led through successes, crises, and rebuilding. It is a story of a club that first reached great heights, then stood on the brink, and then – thanks to the mobilization of thousands of people – embarked on one of the most difficult rebuilds in Polish sports.

There was a moment when the most important question was: "Will Wisła survive?"

It survived.

We can and should be proud of this. However, promotion to the top league was not a success for us—it was an obligation. An obligation to the club's history and to you. This was fulfilled by a hardworking team: players, staff, and club employees, supported by partners and the entire Wisła community. This is the result of hard work, consistency, and faith maintained even when repeated disappointments put it to the test.

The time spent in the second division was not wasted. We generated emotions that the top league would be proud of. In the 2023/2024 season, we won the Polish Cup. In the next, we played in European cup qualifiers, proudly representing Poland. And finally, last season, we earned promotion. We learned a lot during this time and matured as an organization. We are bold in what we do, and at the same time, mentally stronger than ever before.

The most important test lies ahead: confirming that Wisła can function in the Ekstraklasa week after week, throughout the entire season and in all circumstances. We were the best team in the 1st league. Now we want to prove our readiness to compete at the Ekstraklasa level. The club's history is our foundation. However, we will earn points through organization, quality, intensity, courage, and daily work.

Our goal is to prove our belonging to Ekstraklasa

We state this directly and responsibly. Our goal for the 2026/2027 season is to prove that Wisła Kraków fully belongs to the Polish Ekstraklasa.

The consecutive successes of Wisła Kraków in the 21st century were largely built on a significant financial advantage, which allowed the club to acquire top coaches and players, and consequently to regularly win Polish championships and compete in European cups. This model successfully boosted the first team's performance for years, but it was highly dependent on the level of investment, so with their limitation, the club's ability to compete for the highest goals also weakened.

At the same time, this solidified the belief within the club's environment that the primary response to subsequent challenges should be to primarily increase the quality of the squad, and not necessarily to develop long-term structures, competencies, and repeatable processes. During this time, Polish football began to shift more clearly towards organizations based not only on budgetary advantage but also on conceptual advantage, resulting from management quality, the coherence of the sports model, and the ability to systematically build value.

Promotion has reopened the doors to the top league. Now we want to confirm our readiness for sustained performance at this level through quality of work, good organization, resilience, and consistency.

Step by step, we will improve the quality of training, physical preparation, analysis, regeneration, and game organization. We want to make better decisions, communicate more efficiently, and cooperate more effectively across all areas of the club.

Every match should be a source of knowledge for us. Every mistake should lead to correction, both on the field and in the offices. Every well-executed element must be reinforced and repeated. We will look for concrete solutions and small advantages that, repeated every day, will eventually build a lasting difference. This approach signifies ambition based on hard work, discipline, patience, and responsibility.

Wisła Kraków's ambitions extend far beyond mere presence in the Ekstraklasa. The first stage is to confirm that we can operate at this level in a sustainable and repeatable manner. Each subsequent season should find Wisła stronger than before. Better prepared. Better managed. More resilient. More effectively responding to the demands of the Ekstraklasa and increasingly asserting its presence within it.

A different league, different conditions

Ekstraklasa is a more demanding environment than the 1st league.

Time on the ball will be shorter. Opponents will close down space faster, press more effectively, and exploit mistakes more efficiently. The importance of duels, playing under pressure, and moments requiring full concentration and resilience will increase.

An internal club analysis shows that promoted teams lose some of their previous control over matches. Success is primarily determined by conscious adaptation and the selection of solutions that match the new level.

We want to develop our identity.

We will continue to play bravely and proactively. However, we will add tools to our playing style that are necessary at a higher level. Our data shows that the team can achieve physical parameters comparable to those of top Ekstraklasa teams. The key challenge will be their repeatability in conjunction with the quality and purposefulness of effort.

Evolution based on quality

The promotion was achieved by a team with its own value, character, and established mechanisms. It was our duty to preserve its healthy core. At the same time, we fairly assessed the areas requiring greater quality, experience, dynamism, and readiness for immediate competition.

Historical analysis of previous promoted teams indicates that stability combined with precise filling of gaps brings the greatest value. This is the direction we have taken. Each transfer has a clearly defined sporting and organizational goal. The most important aspects will be its sense, fit, and impact on the team.

All scenarios are possible

We also want to be honest with you about what this season might bring.

Football is unpredictable, and a newly promoted team's season can unfold in many ways. We see three main scenarios, and we are prepared for each of them.

The predicted scenario is a season of stabilization: safe survival, building foundations, learning the Ekstraklasa week by week, and entering the next season as a stronger and more mature team. This is statistically the most common scenario for promoted teams, and we treat it with full seriousness.

The negative scenario is a fight for survival until the last matchdays, and in the most difficult variant – relegation. We speak about this openly because a mature club does not pretend that such a risk does not exist. We are also prepared for difficult months: sportingly, organizationally, and mentally.

The ultra-positive scenario is a season in which adaptation proceeds faster than planned. The team finds its rhythm, points come regularly, and in spring, we compete for the top half of the table – perhaps even for European cups. History knows promoted teams who have achieved this. We do not make such a promise, but we also do not set artificial limits for ourselves.

The most important thing is one: none of these scenarios changes our long-term approach. The direction, values, and way of building the club remain the same regardless of what the table shows. Wisła is a project for years, not for one season. We must be ready for all scenarios – and we are.

Ambition, calmness, and responsibility

During the season, there will be difficult moments.

There will be matches where the team will defend for long stretches and patiently wait for their chance. There will be matches that end with a feeling of dissatisfaction. There may be a series of weaker results, pressure, criticism, and the expectation of immediate reactions.

Our response will be consistency, analysis, and shared responsibility.

We understand consistency as fidelity to the chosen direction combined with a readiness for correction. A responsible club can change its plan while maintaining the stability of the entire project.

Wisła fans have the right to demand ambition. We have that ambition. We also believe that the upcoming season will bring moments of great euphoria, and we want to deliver as many of them as possible.

Thank you for being with us. In the first league, during difficult years, in moments when it was easier to leave than to stay. The truth is, we don't even have to ask for your support – we feel it all the time. In the stands, away from home, in the daily gestures of thousands of people for whom Wisła is a part of life. This is our greatest asset, and nothing can replace it.

For our part, we commit to what we consider the foundation of a modern club: openness, transparency, and authenticity. We want to tell you the truth – even when it's difficult. We want to explain decisions, show context, and treat you as partners, not just recipients of communications. This is the direction in which we are consistently pushing Wisła, and we will not deviate from this path.

We need you again.

During the first match after returning. In games against our biggest rivals. In moments of victories, defeats, and trials.

We need a full stadium even after a difficult result. We need energy when the team is going through a demanding period. We need support combined with demands, responsibility, and care for the common good.

Players must fight for every meter of the pitch, the staff must maximize their capabilities, and the offices must ensure the quality of our organization and social mission—for which the club serves as a platform. Management must make responsible decisions, and fans, as always, should create an atmosphere that gives Wisła an advantage and poses a unique challenge for every opponent.

We have repeatedly shown that our greatest strength is the ability of thousands of people to work together. We return to Ekstraklasa with a great history and the awareness that we must earn our position on the pitch and in the offices. We return with ambition, responsibility, and knowledge of the challenges ahead. We return proud, ready for further work.
