In an exceptional match played as part of Wisła Royal Day on the pitch at Reymonta, the figures who had written the history of the White Star over the years appeared once again. Wisła Oldboys defeated Wisła Legends & Friends 8:2, while the fans gathered in the stands could see players representing several generations of Wisła Kraków in action.

Saturday's celebration of the Wisła Community began with an event that many fans had been waiting for weeks to see. Invited guests connected not only with sport, but also footballers well known from championship seasons, European nights and unforgettable matches at Reymonta, ran onto the pitch at Synerise Arena. The match was played in a 2x45-minute format, and each team completely changed its eleven after 15 minutes of play, allowing fans to see a wide range of participants in action.

From the first minutes, there was no shortage of either footballing quality or the relaxed atmosphere characteristic of such matches. Marcin Wasilewski opened the scoring in the 14th minute. The move began with a corner and a short pass to Rafał Boguski, who delivered a precise cross into the penalty area. Wasilewski escaped Mariusz Jop's marking and beat the goalkeeper with a spectacular header, giving Wisła Oldboys the lead. The response came just five minutes later. After a smoothly worked move in front of the penalty area, the ball was played out to the wing and then back toward the middle. Daniel Dubicki found himself in a good position there and scored to level the match, netting the first goal for Wisła Legends & Friends.

The match was certainly not played at a leisurely pace, and both teams eagerly looked for attacking solutions, with the players also trying their luck with shots from various positions. In the 26th minute, Arkadiusz Głowacki decided to shoot from outside the penalty area. The ball changed direction on the way and then went into the net off Radosław Majdan's hands. The experienced goalkeeper was clearly unhappy with his intervention, while the Oldboys regained the lead. Four minutes later, the advantage grew to two goals thanks to Zdzisław Janik, who sent an excellent pass from the wing through the penalty area to Patryk Małecki. Wisła's former winger made no mistake and confidently finished to make it 3:1.

Before the break, the fans witnessed one of the match's most unusual moves. In the 40th minute, Mariusz Pawełek bravely left his own penalty area and ran with the ball through almost the entire pitch, dribbling past successive opponents and generating plenty of excitement in the stands. Wisła Oldboys therefore led 3:1 at half-time.

After the change of ends, however, Wisła Legends & Friends had no intention of giving up. The second half brought even more open play. Both teams were eager to exploit the available space, often abandoning lengthy build-up play in midfield in favor of quick attacks. In the 49th minute, Arkadiusz Głowacki fouled Semir Štilić in the penalty area and was shown a yellow card. Tomasz Frankowski stepped up to take the penalty and beat the goalkeeper with a confident shot to the left side of the goal, reducing the deficit to one. Despite the unfavorable score, Wisła Legends & Friends continued trying to turn the match around.

The players looked for chances through wing attacks and shots from various positions, forcing the Oldboys defense to remain focused. Around the 56th minute, an unpleasant incident also occurred, after which Jarosław Królewski had to leave the pitch early. This did not disrupt the rhythm of the effective Oldboys, and already in the 59th minute the fans saw one of the match's finest team moves. Grzegorz Pater surged down the right side of the pitch in a style all too familiar to fans who remember his best years at Reymonta. He entered the penalty area and then laid the ball off to Rafał Boguski, for whom finishing from close range was merely a formality. Just two minutes later, Wisła Oldboys scored again. This time, Patryk Małecki crossed the ball into the penalty area, where Zdeněk Ondrášek was well positioned. The Czech player finished the move effectively to make it 5:2.

In the 63rd minute, Marcin Kuźba got his name on the scoresheet. Małecki once again drove the move forward, laying the ball off to his teammate, and Kuźba only had to get a foot to it and direct it into the net, extending the Oldboys' lead to four goals. The scoring did not end there. In the 75th minute, the referee pointed to the penalty spot again after 15-year-old goalkeeper Andrzej Bałuszka fouled Ondrášek. Damian Gorawski stepped up and confidently converted the penalty, scoring the Oldboys' seventh goal. The final word, however, belonged to Patryk Małecki. After Wisła Legends & Friends lost the ball from a corner, the winger won possession in his own half and began a solo run across a large part of the pitch. Małecki exploited the open space, left his opponents behind and spectacularly finished the move, completing his brace and setting the final score at 8:2.

Although the result was impressive, what mattered far more that day was seeing once again at Reymonta the players who, over many years, had shown that the White Star is more than just a club. It is a community that remains together regardless of the circumstances. The sight of fans once again enjoying the plays of their former idols was one of the best summaries of this exceptional day, while also showing that despite the passing years, many of these players still have that characteristic footballing instinct in their legs. After the match, fans also had the opportunity to meet some of the Wisła Legends in sector E, give them a high five and get an autograph. It was a symbolic conclusion to an exceptional event that brought together several generations of the White Star at Reymonta.
