Konrad Czajkowski will be one of the new faces in the coaching structure of Wisła Kraków Football Academy in the upcoming season. The 33-year-old coach spent the last five years working at the Łukasz Piszczek BVB Academy, where he served as coordinator and coach. At Wisła’s Academy, he will be responsible for coaching the U10 team, as well as coordinating the U9–U7 development stage and the Wisła Junior project (U6–U4).

Konrad Czajkowski brings extensive experience both as a coach and in managing the entire training process. The 33-year-old spent the past five years working at the Łukasz Piszczek BVB Academy, where he served as Academy coordinator, coach, and initiator of numerous events.

Starting next season, Czajkowski will join Wisła Kraków Football Academy, where he will be responsible for coaching the U10 team and coordinating the U9–U7 development stage. His responsibilities will also include developing the Wisła Junior project both in terms of the sessions themselves (training will take place at the complex at 26 Piastowska Street) and finding new locations in Kraków and throughout the Lesser Poland Voivodeship where training sessions for preschoolers can be held.

- I won’t hide the fact that the offer from Wisła Kraków Football Academy was very interesting. After five years at the BVB Academy, I felt the need for a change and further personal development. I will be able to develop both as a coach and organizationally. The size and reputation of Wisła were also important factors. I come from a region where this club plays a very significant role. In addition, I will have the pleasure of working with respected specialists in my field, which will enable me to continue developing - emphasizes Konrad Czajkowski.

The 33-year-old coach admits that he will place great emphasis on developing the Wisła Junior project, which has limitless potential. For the youngest players, it is often their first step and first contact with sport.

- We want to build awareness among the youngest children that Wisła is something much bigger than just a football club. It is a way of life and, in reality, the first opportunity to represent Wisła and get the chance to train at a professional Academy. We want to attract as many children as possible to the sessions. We have a very young and ambitious coaching staff who want to pass on their values at every session. We want to offer the children a varied program. I can reveal that we are planning pre-match training sessions, which are to take place 1.5 hours before the first-team match at the TS facility. We also have various ideas involving activities in the family stand. We will announce everything in due course - Czajkowski emphasizes.

- Bringing Konrad into our Academy strengthens its structure. Based on his extensive experience with Grassroots projects, we would like to bring that experience to Kraków and the surrounding area. In addition to his vast knowledge and coaching skills, he is joining us with experience managing an Academy that maintained high standards. Activating the youngest children is very important to us, as is creating attractive sessions that will draw as many young footballers as possible to the complex at Piastowska. I also hope that he will implement at least half of the ideas concerning, for example, first-team match days, because, as the statistics show, thousands of children under the age of 12 attend Wisła matches - adds Piotr Truchlewski, operations manager of Wisła Kraków Football Academy.
