TS Wisła Kraków S.A. Announcement
Towarzystwo Sportowe Wisła Kraków S.A. and Wieczysta Kraków S.A. have reached an agreement, under which Wieczysta Kraków will play its home matches in the 2026/2027 PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa season at Synerise Arena Kraków – Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium.
The parties signed a letter of intent outlining the framework of cooperation. Detailed terms will be included in the agreement, which is scheduled to be concluded by June 25, 2026. The agreement stipulates that the pitch will be made available for Wieczysta's home league and cup matches.
The Wisła Kraków team will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and ongoing care of the pitch. Wisła Kraków will not operate the matches. Wieczysta Kraków and its partners will, however, provide the funds and equipment necessary to prepare the facility for play at the Ekstraklasa level, including support for greenkeeping work, specialized equipment, and pitch lighting. The parties declared good faith cooperation, including in discussions with the City of Kraków as the owner of the facility.
"The stadium at Reymonta Street is an important part of Kraków's life and the second most visited football facility in Poland – extraordinary especially in terms of atmosphere. Wisła and Wieczysta will play alternately in Kraków in the Ekstraklasa competition on a weekly basis. Wieczysta has a good chance of achieving the second-highest attendance in Kraków during its matches. Absolutely, the issue of cannibalizing the fan base is not and will not be a problem for us. Wisła and Wieczysta fans are often the same groups. This agreement also shows that in key matters for the development of Kraków football, we can act responsibly and seek solutions beneficial to all parties," said Jarosław Królewski, President of the Management Board of Wisła Kraków.
"Promotion to the Ekstraklasa opens a new chapter for Wieczysta. From the beginning of our discussions, we were keen to find a solution that would allow our team and fans to participate in top-tier competitions in Kraków, while maintaining the highest organizational and infrastructural standards. We are pleased that, together with Wisła Kraków, we have managed to reach an agreement beneficial to both clubs, their fans, and the entire city. We believe this will be an additional impetus for the development of football and increased interest in football in the region. We are ready to take responsibility for preparing the facility to meet Ekstraklasa requirements and to carry out this cooperation in a spirit of partnership and mutual respect," said Łukasz Ścigalski, Executive Director of Wieczysta Kraków.
