Today, the wingers took on the responsibility of scoring the goals. Was that the plan for the match against Pogoń?
Ellie Youan: The coach asked us to make a difference in attack while also remembering our defensive duties. I think we carried that out quite well for most of the match. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to win, but at least we earned a point.
We fell behind twice, but came back twice as well. We showed character, but unfortunately only drew. What do you think was missing?
I think we are still developing. It has been some time since Wisła played in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, so I’m not worried about our team. The season is long, and we have a good team. On Sunday, we were really close to winning, but I’m sure we will be even better.
On Sunday, you made your first start for Wisła Kraków and scored your first goal. How do you assess your performance?
First and foremost, all glory to God, because I have been through a lot over the past two years. I’m happy to be able to play football again, because I feel most comfortable on the pitch.
As for my performance, I did what the coach and the entire staff asked me to do, and that helped me score a goal. Since they chose me, it means they believe I can help the team. I hope I can continue moving in this direction.
