Fans who came to the stadium during Saturday's struggles of the Biała Gwiazda BF players saw ten goals at the start of the new campaign. Such an opening is a clear sign from coach Rafał Kurlit's team that despite the changes made in recent weeks, some things have not undergone even the slightest adjustment. 

"Before the first match, there was a tension in the locker room, a mixture of excitement and uncertainty. We knew what our goal was, but we also knew that new always means unknown. Everything left us after a few minutes of the match against Rekord, when we saw that the machine was starting to work, and Martin's goal only 'oiled' us up further," says Kacper Domagała, playing with number 11. 

The match against Rekord Bielsko-Biała BF was a duel between teams that wanted to exchange blows from the very first minutes. Over time, it turned out that the opponent's blows, who made many changes before the season, were neither accurate nor strong, while those delivered by our section's players grew heavier with each passing minute. 

When it seemed that the match would end in a goalless draw at halftime, thanks to Paweł Karbowski, the well-disposed goalkeeper from Bielsko-Biała, Martin Jung intercepted a poorly cleared ball from the goalkeeper and, after a solo run, put it into the net. A moment later, Gabriel Olech made it 2-0 from a corner kick. The second half was practically entirely dominated by Biała Gwiazda BF, who, thanks to Jung and Olech, added four more goals. 

"This was a very important victory, in many respects. We made it clear from the very beginning what we want for the entire season and what our opponents must prepare for. We also showed ourselves that the modifications made will bring the desired results. I also think that for us, the staff, it was important due to our debut in new roles," emphasizes Radosław Wójcik, assistant coach, who made his debut as navigator in the match against Rekord. 

The match against Warta Poznań BF was the third this year, but the first for points - it was also a completely different match than the friendly matches played a few weeks ago, and also the opening match against Rekord. 

The "Greens" tried to play much deeper and focused on breaking up attacks – less space required the Wisła BF players to play more with the ball, which brought results in the first minutes. As in the first match, Jung opened the scoring, netting a total of three goals in the entire game. After the final whistle, the scoreboard showed 4:0, with Krzysztof Suchocki, who debuted in the match against Bielsko and scored his debut goal in the match against Poznań, setting the final score. 

"I am happy that the team trusted us and implemented the assumptions we adjusted with the course of the matches. The most difficult element in this whole puzzle was the extremely short bench, and we had to properly manage the strength of the available players. I am satisfied, thank you and congratulations to the boys, but these are just two of eight steps. More important matches are ahead of us, and we must work on them now," adds Rafał Kurlit, the new head coach of Wisła BF. 

The next round will be played on May 9th and 10th in Wrocław. Biała Gwiazda BF therefore has little time to regenerate and get players with injuries back on their feet. The upcoming round will be much more difficult as three matches will be played away, including a duel with Śląsk, who also started the season strongly.
