On May 9-10, Biała Gwiazda BF competed in the capital of Lower Silesia, where the second round of national league games took place. Martin Jung and his team won all three matches, scoring eleven goals and keeping a clean sheet.

"It was a complete weekend for us, bringing us closer to our goal. We played patiently and as a team, which proved to be the key to every victory. Compared to the first round, all our opponents defended very deeply. Such matches are demanding both mentally and physically, because every second matters, and the closer you are to the goal, the harder you have to fight with opponents who often don't hold back," says Martin Jung, this season's top scorer.

The round in Wrocław began with a match against ARTS Warszawa BF. The team needed a dozen minutes to get into rhythm. Martin Jung and Krzysztof Suchocki found their stride perfectly. The former's brace and the latter's goal set the match score at 3:0.

"First away matches are always a bit more demanding. This is due to the time needed to get used to the pitch, which differs from the one in Krakow. A few adjustments at halftime and speeding up the game in the second half helped improve our actions, although it must be said that even before the break, we hit the posts of the capital's goal twice," notes Kacper Domagała, midfielder wearing number 11.

The highlight of Saturday's struggles was the league classic, the match against Śląsk Wrocław BF, the result of which could bring one of the teams closer to the championship title. The match was played under the dictation of Biała Gwiazda BF, although the hosts at times launched dangerous counterattacks.

In the first half, there was a brutal foul on young Olech, after which the referee did not even show a card. This incident probably eliminated Gabriel from playing for the rest of the season. The situation further intensified the match, and with each minute, Śląsk players were pushed closer and closer to their own goal. Just over two minutes before the final whistle, the flawless Jung made a solo run and scored a goal worth three points. Earlier, Suchocki – a former Śląsk BF player – had a good opportunity, hitting the post from close range.

"I don't remember such an emotional match, in which we so strongly dominated an opponent who, for our league conditions, has significant offensive potential. The win and Martin's growing form are very pleasing, but at the same time, we are devastated by the situation with Gabi. We hope that all tests can be carried out this week and we will find out exactly what happened. We want to approach the league final in Bielsko with the strongest possible squad, and Gabi is one of our key players," adds Mateusz Krzyszkowski, who, due to the course of the round, did not get minutes after recovering.

Sunday was a true goal-scoring festival for coach Kurlit's charges. Jung's hat-trick and doubles by Ryszka and Suchocki gave a 7:0 victory over Warta Poznań BF, whose position in the table is currently very difficult. The win over the Greens significantly improved the offensive statistics of the entire team.

"It was clear that the boys were calm and confident, and further goals were only a matter of time. I am very satisfied with the course of this match, and even more so with how we developed with each subsequent game. The beginning was successful, although a bit sluggish, but it's hard to complain when we were implementing our assumptions and effectively improving elements that were not working best before," emphasizes coach Rafał Kurlit.

On the way back, the players and staff followed the news from Wrocław, where the second round was coming to an end. One of the last matches was the duel between Śląsk and ARTS Warszawa BF. The match ended in a goalless draw, which, with three rounds remaining in the season, gives Wisła Kraków BF a five-point lead over second place.

"The result of our direct rivals surprised us a bit, but it pleased us even more. We all know that the fate of the season depends primarily on us anyway, but such a result gives a certain buffer of safety before the June round. Everything is in our hands and, as I have said many times, we are not interested in calculations – we want to settle the matter on the pitch," concludes Marcin Ryszka, captain of Biała Gwiazda BF.

The league final is scheduled for June 13-14 in Bielsko. Wisła BF will compete for decisive points during the third round against ARTS Warszawa BF, Rekord Bielsko-Biała BF, and Śląsk Wrocław BF. At this moment, Biała Gwiazda BF can boast a full 15 points, and needs six more points to definitively seal the championship.
